Bloom Where You’re Planted

Most of you are familiar with Philippians 4:12, which reads,

“I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound:  every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer in need.” (KJV)

I Timothy 6:6 states,

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.”

It is very important that we are prepared for whatever G-d has for us.  Are you?  We should not sit around doing nothing waiting for the L-rd to drop everything in our laps. We should be praying, learning, preparing, working to be ready for His timing and His plans and purposes.

I knew from a very early age that I would be involved in full time ministry.  Exactly what that would look like I did not know.  But, I knew that I needed to study the Word of G-d, be involved in youth and college organizations, and get an education.  Even after being married for many years, I decided to earn my Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies and completed it about 10 years ago, during the Second Lebanese War, while we were receiving rockets.

Are you still waiting to know what G-d wants you to do next?  Let’s prepare ourselves to be vessels to be used by Him to further His Kingdom.  There are unlimited ministry opportunities.  Maybe He is calling you to first make a small step.  There are congregations, crisis pregnancy centers, and many other opportunities to serve.  It may be an area in which you are not yet comfortable.  What do you need to do to prepare? There are online classes, you may need to free up some of the time you are currently wasting on unnecessary things.

I just want to encourage you today.  G-d has a plan for your life!  G-d wants to use you! Are you open to His call?

  1. I find your writing to be very timely. I have been asking ABBA what is it that HE wants me to do. My godmother has told me that I have too much of THE WORD of GOD in me to be sitting around doing nothing.

I love to teach THE WORD of GOD. At one time I started a Christian-based shelter for abused women. I used to host a radio program but it seems as if the doors has closed.

I am a lover of all people but especially the Jewish people and I observe all the biblical feasts. I have taught many about these things to which they are extremely grateful.
