Another Hanukkah is coming to an end here in Israel in just a couple of hours. We were out of the country for part of it, but were glad to return home in time to spend a few days here for it. As you can see above, there are large hanukkiahs placed in every neighborhood. Everywhere you go, you also can buy decorated donuts.
While in Vienna, where we had a couple of meetings, we also went to one of the main squares, where the Jewish community held a nightly candle lighting.

There were many Israelis and other Jewish people there, but also some others who had come to see what was going on. There was also music and singing and it was a very nice time.
Unfortunately, there have been many anti-semitic attacks around the world, including the one in Monsey, NY. The machete attack is just the latest of many in the U.S.
Have you downloaded our new app? We are receiving many positive reviews of it. It is so convenient to use and you can take and keep notes on it. It is called: My Bible Study. It is available for Apple and Android. Go to your App Store today. It has a blue background with MBS in the middle in white letters.

Vienna has quite a sizable jewish community and we always have been enriched by it, be it in cuisine, music, the arts, science, business, entertainment…what a beautiful display! sadly, there has always been an anti-semitic residue from WWII there that poisons all the goodness we should have….
My heart grieves over the anti-Semitic attacks and my prayers for Israel continue.
