While the Bible does not use the Gregorian calendar, we still function in this world according to it. And this is the time of year when many people make New Year’s Resolutions.
Any time is a good time to intentionally strive to improve yourself and of course the most important way would be to take steps to draw closer to the L-rd and grow spiritually. Two important ways to reach this goal is through Bible study and Prayer.
This year, I have a special prayer journal which I will be using to track my prayer life. It doesn’t have to be a fancy or expensive notebook, just something you will keep handy and use.
For my Bible study time, of course I hear Baruch’s teaching twice/week in Hebrew and a couple of times a week in English. Currently, Baruch is finishing the book of John on television, he is teaching through Genesis on our internet platforms, and he just began teaching through the book of Ecclesiastes on our Live Stream. That gives me a lot of content, not even including all of the Biblical conversations we have during the week!
I would really like to encourage each of you to use some methodology in your spiritual life. This is not to quench the Holy Spirit and His work, nor is it meant to eliminate spontaneity. It is just to help guide you and encourage you to stay on track.
I’m really looking forward to growing in the L-rd and serving Him!
