In Matthew 16:23 Yeshua rebukes Peter for not having in mind the things of G-d, but for having in mind the things of men. Peter was looking at things from a human perspective. If we want to be people who are pleasing to G-d, we need to be people who have His perspective on things. Studying the Word of G-d (particularly the prophetic books of Scripture), with the guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit, we can learn about how G-d sees things. When we live with G-d’s perspective, many things begin to make sense. It is a great privilege to be able to study yet another book together. This book is the prophecy of Isaiah.
