Israel Tour~Day 1

We met our tour participants at the tour hotel at 6:00 pm for an introductory meeting. Several of them had arrived days earlier, to do some of their own sightseeing and also to acclimate to the time change. What a sweet group we have! This tour group is smaller than the others have been, and I look so forward to getting to each of them better.

Everyone got settled into the hotel, which has a lovely location by the Herzliya Marina.

After the meeting, where everyone introduced themselves and some instructions were given, we made our way down to the dining hall for a lovely buffet dinner. We then met at our bus and headed to our first site!

We made the short ride to Yafo, and our driver let us out near our first site, the traditional home of Simon the Tanner. There Baruch gave a teaching about the importance of this location and the theological truth of Acts chapters 9 and 10.

The group then walked down to the port area of the ancient city, while I met up with our older daughter. George Popa, our Romania and Eastern Europe Team Leader was kind enough to share some pictures (below).

Shot I captured while with our daughter. It was such a lovely evening.

Baruch concluded the walking tour with a discussion about Jonah. We were blessed with such lovely weather. It is hard to believe it is December! We then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the next day!
