Views of Prague.

Today we are taking a walking tour of the Jewish area of Prague.  We are very interested to learn about the history and the Jewish community today.  Yesterday we ate at the kosher Chabad dairy restaurant and spoke with several Israelis there.  Prague is a very popular destination for Israeli tourists.

The oldest still active synagogue in the world is here in Prague.  We will be visiting it today.

Prague is a very important city.  It was the collection site for many of the Jewish objects which were collected from Jewish communities which were being liquidated throughout Europe.  It contains many artifacts, synagogue pieces, as well as artwork and writings from Terezin and other places.
