Purim

We hope you had a wonderful Purim.  We enjoy going to the Bet Knesset to hear the reading of Meggilat Esther.  The young children love to make noise with the gorgers (noise-makers) and everyone says “booo” whenever Haman’s name is mentioned.

We also enjoy eating hamentashen (the triangle sweets with a filling on top such as fruit, figs, or chocolate).

Let’s also remember that it is a time to reflect upon how the Jewish people rallied together to fast and pray for Esther and for G-d to work to save them.

Let us make a commitment today to pray for Israel and the Jewish people as well as all believers, as we enter into a time of persecution worse than we’ve seen in recent years.
