Today we walked over to the Great Synagogue in Stockholm. I was so pleased that there was a school group of what looked like high schoolers from Sweden there. It is located on a very small, quiet street and is sheltered from the traffic.
From what I read on the internet and on a sign they have posted, it is a Conservative synagogue (as opposed to Orthodox, for example). The men and women sit together and the women are counted in the minion. They hold Erev Shabbat and Shabbat morning services.
There is also a small Holocaust Memorial there. The iron Star of David, above, is part of the memorial.
I will try to share more pictures with you tomorrow.
