Taping Today and a Thought from Me

IMG_4532

I know you recognize this place by now!  Yes, as I write this, Baruch is taping the next set of television episodes.  I’d like to announce that the next Book of the Bible Baruch will be teaching through is the Book of Hebrews!  These episodes will not begin airing on television and internet platforms until after the entire book of John has been aired.

This trip to Romania is packed with many speaking events for Baruch.  Please follow along through our “events” page on our website LoveIsrael.org.  Your prayers would be appreciated; that hearts would be prepared and the message received.

We had a conversation with some friends last night and it sparked thoughts I’ve had about some topics which I believe are perfect for this time of year.  One of those you hear/read a lot about is living intentionally.  Jeremiah 29:11 says,

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

G-d has plans for us!  We should want to know those plans and make our decisions and choices based upon what He has for us.

I was blessed to become a believer at a very young age and the L-rd impressed upon my young heart that I would marry someone who would be involved in full-time work for the L-rd and that I would participate in that.  Therefore, when looking for a spouse, his spiritual condition and theological beliefs were the number one concern of mine.  It was vital that we were in harmony on those issues.  With that in mind, I was sure of my decision to marry Baruch and knew that it was G-d’s will.

We need to realize that life is made up of choices and many of the choices will have life-long ramifications.   For those choices we’ve already made, we need to accept them and ask G-d to use them to bring about His will.  Just because we may have made some poor choices, and we have to deal with the consequences of them, does NOT mean that G-d won’t work in the situation.

If you are in a difficult marriage, for example, G-d does not want you to get out of it and try to “make a better choice next time”!  He wants to work in that marriage and bring glory to Himself through it.  We are to live with our choices, not run from them.

So, one of the things I am working on this year is to be more intentional in my living, my choices.  I want to pray more regularly for G-d to reveal His will for my life.  There are some projects I am currently working on which I will tell you more about as I get further along with them.  I believe He is leading me in these endeavors and Baruch is very supportive of them.

In the meantime, I’d just like to encourage you not to just live each day without real thought of  what you are doing.  Rather, let’s daily ask the L-rd to reveal to us what we should do in order to be in His will and to be a part of His plans and purposes for our lives–not an obstacle to them.

  1. Dear Rivka,
I’m praying for the Lord to guide me this year so that I can fullfill his will. We have the same scripture that you quoted in a cross in the entry of our home.
We have been so blessed to be part of the ministry of LoveIsrael. The Lord always confirm things that I’m praying about or what my family has been talking about through the teachings of brother Baruch or in your blog.
    God bless,
    Margarita
