Little by little, and sometimes by huge leaps, evil is creeping into the lives of believers. We would expect to see the evil in the world (although I am shocked by how quickly things are getting worse around the world). But we are seeing more and more within the body and I would like to address it.
First, I was shocked to see on my Facebook feed how many pastors and active church members are posting pictures from their Halloween celebrations. One even had a child dressed up as a witch at a church event! We are becoming callous to evil! We are being light-hearted about it. These are the same people who do not want to celebrate some of the Biblical Holidays, which would teach children about the provision of G-d and His plans, because they say that observing them in some way is “legalistic” and trying to “keep the law!”
We are being bombarded with evil lifestyles which the world is demanding that we embrace, religions which want to kill those who do not adhere to it are given preference, our freedoms to believe what we want are being stripped away because the world does not agree with them. Many of us have been told that we are weak or stupid because we believe in G-d.
We need to be on our knees, praying for the strength to stand up and to withstand the pressures which seek to intimidate or kill us.
In Moldova we were told about the “Run for Hell”. That’s right, in the capital city of Chisinau last Shabbat, there was a city wide running event actually called, “Run for Hell.” Praise G-d that believers in the city sponsored a similar event which was know as “Run to Heaven.” It was used to evangelize. We were so thankful to see fellow followers of Yeshua stand up against such a blasphemous event. Believers have to demonstrate that we are not going to be silent and idle when those things contrary to the Scriptures are manifested.
A few months ago, Baruch was invited to speak at a conference in Tokyo this coming May. We were very thankful for the invitation, as the theme had to do with Israel and missions. When we saw who their special speaker will be, we were shocked. It will be a women by the name of Heidi Baker. We were told of this woman a few months ago, as we had never heard of her. Baruch did some research online and learned that she is most confused spiritually and his words are that “She is a false teacher and behaves in a role that is unScriptural for her to function.” She associates with many other misguided leaders such as Bill Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding, California. Here is an example of her type of “ministry”. Please watch this clip first before continuing to read or watch the second link below: When you watch this, you will be shocked that such a person is received as a teacher and a woman of G-d. I know you will understand why I could not be associated with her or any conference that would host her.
Unfortunately, some of the Messianic leaders here in Israel are embracing this manifestation of a false spirit. Baruch spoke to a leader here in Israel today who knew of Mrs. Baker and the movement that she is part of and of a very well thought of Messianic organization which is including her in their meetings. We prayed about our participation at the Tokyo conference and felt strongly led to withdraw from it. We notified the committee of why Baruch could not speak at a conference which includes this woman.
Wow, what can I say? I never saw such “prayers”. I hope that God will guide and bless them, in the real truth.

Thank you for being such a light in this world that is embracing evil and darkness. We are training our girls that, even a “little” participation in the things that are evil, is wrong and we need to be that light in and to the darkness!

If you search youtube for lindsey davis she came out of bethel school of ministry and did an expose’ on heidi baker. She preaches about submitting to the gods! Not god but gods! Her act of being drunk in the Spirit is blasphemous! If you also see a conservative man named michael voris of church militant.com he reports on the catholic church and it is inches away from approving homosexuality!

Being a peculiar people definitely does not mean this! We are so glad you ran from this. There is much false teaching and evil spirits in our churches and this pours over to those Messianic Jews that are of this same character. We have found this to be true in our area, which we are unable to find a place where we can feel comfortable. We study and depend upon you. These are VERY DIFFICULT times and hard to raise children without somewhat isolating ourselves. As we pray for you, please pray for us.

This terrifies me. I couldn’t watch it all. I’m sad and scared and ashamed for them. This isn’t an act. They are way in over their head with evil; deceived and blinded. I hope there’s someone who loves them trying to stop and help them. I hope they come away with a testimony of victory that furthers our wisdom and understanding, as well as real friends in the believing community to help them overcome the shame they’ll have to endure if they do see the truth. That’s the saddest part. Even if they find their way, look at what they have to overcome to go on well. I’m sick of shame and humiliation destroying people. This scares me, but I hope they have welcome and real goodness from us believers should they overcome.
This is why it’s tempting to go back to church for some of us who want to get away from the pagan holidays and such. At least we can know enough about various churches to know there will be some sense of order and basic holiness. You don’t know what you’re walking into at a congregation called Messianic. The lack of structure and regulation as well as people’s isolation and desperation seems to be an invitation for evil. I’ve witnessed more outwardly obvious spiritual confusion at the few Messianic congregations I’ve been to than at the several churches I’ve been to in my life. I’m not exactly sure what to make of that because I know the desire to regard Torah and turn from pagan based practices is right.

Teresa, I think that celebrating anything on that day is somehow acknowledging it. Why not celebrate the Biblical Fall Festivals instead? It is trying to fit in with the world, in my opinion. Blessings!

The famous English pastor Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892) stated it best “A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats.” That’s where we are now. This sort of blasphemous behavior goes on every day in many churches here in the United States. The Christian cable networks are saturated with them. When I read the New Testament I am never left with the impression that our Lord Yeshua and His followers worshipped in this way! The only thing we can do is pray for these people and that the Holy Spirt will speak to them and help them understand the truth.

I’ve never seen this woman….never heard her speak. Talk about not decent or in order! Blasphemous to His precious Name. Paul said not to be drunk with wine (not saying she is drinking) in which is dissipation but be filled with the Spirit. This is NOT that. (They will speak unintelligibly, is right!)

I have taken very serious John MacArthur’s Strange Fire Conference. He is addressing and calling out those who are in and on the fringes of the Charismatic Movement around the globe. VERY EYE OPENING, and this is fitting right in. So glad that Dr. Korman posted this for it is a grave warning to all!! Beware of the false teachers of today / even people like Beth Moore.

I thank God that in the midst of this spiritual madness, which God’s Word has already warned us about, He lovingly and graciously continues to shine His light of Truth in the darkness.

It grieves me and leaves a burden to pray for those being led astray by false teaches and those who are involving themselves with them.
There is so much deception on the rise, sadly even in the Messianic movement.
The importance to keep our eyes on Yeshua, our Rebbe, follow Him, to be diligent in prayer and the Word in it’s entirety, to not be deceived.
To follow those, as they follow Our Messiah Yeshua.
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving Col 4:3

Dear Sister Rivka, I and my wife very much enjoy listening to and learning from Baruch’s teachings from the Word of God – it is a great blessing to us! In respect of Heidi Baker, as seen here in the above videos – I don’t claim to understand what is going on here, but I do know that Jesus said, ‘By their fruit you shall know them’ and it is my understanding that this woman has spent most of her life, devoted to serving Jesus by moving to Africa (I think Tanzania?), to live out the gospel of Jesus, caring for the poor, setting up and running orphanages for destitute children, schools for children, centres for the blind and more compassionate works than most of us could ever even dream of doing in our lives – this is the fruit of her life with Christ as far as I can tell. Unless I have missed something, it didn’t seem like she did this for any wrong motive, but rather expressing the love of Christ to some of the most deprived people on Earth. I would ask you to please pray for her, if she has in any way ‘gone wrong’ and show her the same compassion that she has shown countless people. This is the person she has been in reality, rather than the appearance that we see on these videos in meetings, that I admit, are hard to understand. Please pray for her? Thank you, David

You mention the Scripture about “by your fruit…” But you must also remember the Scripture Matthew 27:21-23, “21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Blessings, Rivka
