Final picture from the class in Addis Ababa.
Most of you have now heard about the recent air crash of an Ethiopian airplane on its way from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Nairobi, Kenya. All passengers were killed. We were very sad to hear of this terrible loss of life. The people of Ethiopia touched our lives and we are sorry for their loss and the loss of people from many different countries. In Israel, there is an organization called ZAKA which travels to disasters all over the world to properly deal with Jewish bodies according to Jewish law. The Israeli Rescue Team ZAKA has departed to Ethiopia to locate the remains of the two Israeli passengers who were among the 157 victims of the plane crash in Ethiopia on Sunday, as well as help local authorities comb through the wreckage for bodies and help with clean-up efforts.
We arrived home on Thursday evening. We had a quiet Shabbat and then Saturday night, we held our weekly study and broadcast our Livestream. This week we are preparing for our trip to Stockholm, Sweden and to the United States. In Sweden, Baruch will be teaching at a large ministry-workers conference. We will also meet with a network, a ministry and with our team.
Baruch will then head back to Israel for a few days of work and I will fly to the States to help our parents before meeting up with Baruch in the Dallas area for our conference there on March 22-24. Check out the Events section of LoveIsrael.org for details. We hope to see some of you at one of the venues where Baruch will be speaking: Dallas, TX area; Merritt Island, FL; and the San Diego, CA area.
