In Exodus chapter 12, G-d gives instructions to the Children of Israel. They are to take an unblemished lamb into their houses and take care of it for 3 days. Then they are to kill it. This is the Passover Lamb. They were to take its blood and put it on the doorposts of their house and on the lintel. All those who obeyed this command, whether Jew or Gentile, would not suffer the destroyer to come in unto the houses and kill the firstborn.

What an amazing event! Do you see this is a picture of what Yeshua (Jesus) did for us? When we accept Him and His work on the cross as the payment for our sins, and we repent of our sins, instead of seeing our sins, G-d will see the shed blood of Yeshua which cleanses us from those sins! Such love! Such grace!
